It Came from the Radio; Hosted by Mark Torres In-Person
It Came from the Radio, the official show of the Big Apple Con, is an hour long syndicated entertainment radio show that focuses on the Independent Writer, Artist and Filmmaker airing each and every Sunday at 6 p.m. EST on WGBB 95.9 FM (simulcast on 1240 AM), Long Island's oldest radio station.
Once a month (the second Wednesday) at the East Meadow Public Library, we bring a a special guest to join in on our news segment and interview portion of the show in front of a live studio audience! As a special thank you for all in attendance, we always have a FREE raffle giveaway for one lucky member of the audience.
Special Guest: Penny Schneider
Penny Schneider is a Long Island, New York based author/illustrator that has loved doodling her entire life. Recently retired from a 32-year career as a high school art teacher, she is now turning the page to full-time author/illustrator. Sprinkles on top, she is now the art director for her publisher, Monarch Educational Services.
Her love of art and making children happy is what led her to her career as an art educator and now led her to writing and illustrating children’s books. She loves using any art media she can get her hands on, but asked what her favorite medium would be, she would simply say paper and pencil.
